New Year's Day Holiday Instructions

Cash Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 for the New Year’s Day Holiday. Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

First District

Boston

Please remember to place all orders prior to the Noon deadline. Orders placed by the order deadline on any weekday other than the holiday will be available for shipment on the following business day.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by the holiday and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Second District

New York

Orders placed on Monday, December 31, 2018 before 1:00pm ET will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Wednesday, January 2. 2019. Orders placed on Monday, December 31, 2018 after 1:00pm ET will be available for armored carrier pickup on Thursday, January 3, 2019.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Third District

Philadelphia

Due to the upcoming holiday, you may need to change the day that you normally order currency and coin. This will ensure that we process your order in a timely manner. Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Thursday, November 22, 2018, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.

You may wish to confirm your delivery date with your carrier.
