As a reminder, the second and final holiday currency special ordering period for 2018 is approaching. The Federal Reserve Banks will process your holiday currency special requests Friday, November 30 through Thursday, December 6.
All orders placed during the special ordering period above must be picked up from the Federal Reserve’s docks by Friday, December 7. You must ensure your institution has made appropriate transit accommodations, as no orders will be held over to the following week.
During this timeframe, you may place an order for fit or new currency via the FedLine Web® Solution. If you desire both fit and new currency, you will need to place two separate orders — one for fit and one for new. All orders will be filled with your requested currency type, unless the supply has been temporarily exhausted.
New look and feel of the FedCash® Services via FedLine Web
As previously communicated, the Federal Reserve Banks will soon modernize FedCash Services via the FedLine Web Solution. Beginning November 19, FedLine® Subscribers with one or more of the following access levels will see changes upon accessing the FedCash application:
- Cash Services – User
- Cash Services – Administrator
- Cash Services - Cross-Shipping
- Cash Services - Read Only
- Deposit Notification Only for Armored Carriers
- Deposit Notification Only for Depository Institutions
As part of this upgrade, we changed the look and feel of the currency ordering screen. While the functionality remains the same, users placing cash orders are advised to become familiar with the new screens before submitting your orders.
For more information about the holiday currency process and requirements, review the August 22 Holiday Currency communication. If you have questions, please contact your local Federal Reserve Cash Services Department.
